This past spring, Environmental Turf Management participated in a fundraiser for A Child’s Voice Advocacy Center. The center is a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to meet the needs of children for whom allegations of abuse have been reported. It is a child-friendly environment equipped with resources and professionals that can conduct effective, non-threatening interviews and examinations.
“We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and this organization helps children in abusive situations,” says Laura Kurt, owner of Environmental Turf Management. “Every year, they do a fundraiser and raffle off prizes. We were approached this year to see if we could offer anything.” ETM donated one year of free lawn care valued at $490. The raffle event is held during the month of April, which is Child Abuse Prevention month. This year, the center raised over $11,000 to fund programs for the children and families of Newton and Walton counties.
